1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD Expands Innovation Initiative with Hybrid Panels Working Across Education, Language, and Technology

Kigali, Rwanda — Following the recent ICT in Education Panel Meeting, 1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD has announced the launch of several collaborative expert panels working together to design new educational programmes aimed at strengthening digital skills, language education, and teacher training.

While the first face-to-face meeting brought together experts in coding and robotics, the organisation confirmed that many of the development teams will operate through a hybrid collaboration model, where a large percentage of the work is conducted online.

The approach allows professionals from different locations and backgrounds to contribute to the development of innovative education programmes without being limited by geography.

According to the organisers, this model reflects the organisation’s belief that modern learning systems must be flexible, collaborative, and technology-driven.

A Hybrid Model for Building Educational Innovation

The leadership of 1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD explained that although some meetings take place in person, most of the work among the different panels is conducted through digital platforms such as collaborative workspaces and WhatsApp coordination groups.

This approach enables experts, educators, and volunteers to contribute remotely while maintaining consistent communication with the organisation’s leadership.

Panel members report directly to the Founder and Chairperson, Habasa Ange Felix, while academic standards and pedagogical alignment are supported by the Chief Learning Officer, Ndatimana Emmanuel.

The hybrid structure ensures that the initiative remains inclusive, efficient, and scalable, allowing contributors from different regions and professional backgrounds to participate in building innovative education systems.

Multiple Panels Working Toward a Shared Mission

The new initiative is organised into several panels, each focusing on a specific area of education development.

Together, these panels form a collaborative ecosystem designed to strengthen Rwanda’s learning environment through technology, language education, teacher training, and knowledge sharing.

The Coding and Robotics Education Program (1:1CREP)

One of the key panels focuses on developing the 1to1 Coding & Robotics Education Program (1:1CREP), a project designed to introduce coding and robotics education from early childhood through university level.

The programme aims to create a complete curriculum syllabus that guides learners from their first steps in nursery school to advanced engineering concepts at the university level.

The panel includes engineers, educators, and technology specialists selected for their ability to design practical learning experiences that allow students to solve real problems using code and robotics.

Leadership roles within the panel include:

  • Panel Leaders: Cedric Munyazesa and Munezero Ishimwe Patient

  • Curriculum Architects: Emmanuel Tuyishimire, Tuyizere Isaac, Mukeshimana Jeannette, and Imanizabayo Vincent

  • Quality Assurance: Ndatimana Emmanuel and Nishimwe Joel Patient

Their first task is to develop a roadmap outlining the main learning topics for each school level and a timeline for developing the first lessons.

The goal is to create a curriculum that is practical, engaging, and aligned with the needs of modern learners.

ESL Panel: Strengthening English Communication Skills

Another important team is responsible for developing a new English as a Second Language (ESL) course aimed at helping learners speak English with confidence.

The programme goes beyond traditional grammar instruction and focuses on building communication skills, confidence, and practical language use.

According to the assignment issued to the panel, English is considered an important global language that enables individuals to connect with opportunities around the world.

“English is the passport to the world,” the assignment explains, emphasising the importance of equipping learners with strong language skills that enable them to communicate effectively in international contexts.

The ESL panel includes several volunteer instructors, with Atuhaire Moreen serving as Panel Leader and Habimana Jean Damascene as Co-Leader, supporting lesson design and team coordination.

Through this programme, the organisation hopes to help learners develop the confidence needed to participate in global conversations and opportunities.

French Language Panel: Expanding Multilingual Learning

In addition to English, 1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD is also developing a French as a Foreign Language (FLE) course.

The programme aims to help learners communicate confidently in French, a language widely spoken across Africa and internationally.

The panel responsible for developing this programme is led by Sibomana Rodrigue, who coordinates team meetings and organises the development of the course content.

Team members collaborate to design lessons, activities, and exercises that support language acquisition through communication and practical usage.

The initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to promoting multilingual education that prepares learners for regional and international engagement.

Building the “Impactful ECD Teacher” Programme

Another panel focuses on designing a professional training course titled “The Impactful ECD Teacher.”

The programme aims to prepare a new generation of educators who understand child psychology, inclusive education, and professional care for young learners.

According to the project brief, early childhood education plays a foundational role in shaping a child’s future learning experience.

The panel is led by Anitha Meleka, who serves as Head of Panel and oversees the development of the course structure.

Supporting her is Chance de la vie Giciro, who ensures that the content reflects sound psychological principles and appropriate early childhood development practices.

The course is expected to help train teachers who are equipped to provide nurturing and developmentally appropriate learning environments for young children.

The Voice of 1TO1 News

To ensure that the organisation’s work and ideas reach the broader community, 1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD has also established a panel responsible for developing and managing 1to1news.online.

This platform aims to publish stories about education, technology, and innovation, making complex ideas easier for the public to understand.

The editorial structure includes:

  • Samuel Ndorimana – Managing Publisher

  • Chance de la vie Giciro – Editorial Director

Additional contributors report on trends in education while a multilingual team ensures that the news content reaches audiences in multiple languages including French, English, Kiswahili, and Kinyarwanda.

Through this platform, the organisation hopes to create a trusted source of educational news and insights for the Rwandan community.

Operations and Community Engagement

To support the organisation’s daily activities, 1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD has appointed Tuyishime Onesphore as Operations Officer.

The role combines on-site coordination at the organisation’s Kimironko office with online responsibilities, reflecting the organisation’s hybrid working model.

As Operations Officer, he is responsible for managing daily activities, coordinating marketing efforts in the local community, and assisting clients who require training services.

The position also plays an important role in connecting the organisation’s educational programmes with the communities they aim to serve.

Collaboration Driving Educational Transformation

The creation of multiple panels working in a hybrid model demonstrates the organisation’s commitment to collaborative innovation.

By bringing together educators, engineers, language specialists, and storytellers, 1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD aims to develop educational programmes that address real needs in Rwanda’s learning environment.

The approach also reflects a broader shift toward digital collaboration, where experts can work together across locations through technology.

As Rwanda continues to invest in education and innovation, initiatives like these highlight the importance of partnerships and community engagement in building sustainable learning systems.

Looking Ahead

With several panels already working on curriculum development, teacher training programmes, language courses, and educational storytelling platforms, 1TO1 TEACHING LEARNING LTD is positioning itself as a growing hub for educational innovation.

The organisation believes that meaningful change in education requires collaboration, creativity, and a willingness to experiment with new ideas.

By combining the expertise of its panel members and embracing hybrid collaboration, the initiative hopes to contribute to the development of learning systems that empower learners and educators alike.

As these panels continue their work, the results may help shape new approaches to education that prepare Rwanda’s learners for the opportunities and challenges of the future.
